Team Iron Behemoths: Community Engagement Day

To kick-start the new year strong, Team Iron Behemoths co-organised Kampong Glam's Tug of War Championship 2009 held at Telok Ayer Hong Lim Green Community Centre on Community Engagement Day.

Team Iron Behemoths founders and members were split up into 8 different groups (one Behemoth in each group) and they battled it out. They pulled with all their might in an elimination-style tournament.

With Member of Parliament Mrs. Denise Phua to officially start the competition.

The opening match saw Team KC against Team King. The young KC relished an opportunity to prove himself and upset The King; alas, it was not meant to be for this young lad, as Team King, with honorary member MP Mrs. Denise Phua, dominated and yanked Team KC across the line effortlessly for a very convincing victory.

And so it was, The Finals: Team Hulk vs Team King. Both teams faced apprehension and excitement at the same time. The adrenaline surged. The crowd was deafening. It was like WrestleMania 3: The Unstoppable Force meets The Immovable Object - something's gotta give!

Both teams gave it their all. The sweat poured, the muscles bulged. Feet dug deep in the dirt. The crowd was on their feet and cheering non-stop.

Finally, after a long, intense, hard-fought war of the super-heavyweights, Team Hulk won the Championship, while Team King came in a very close 2nd. The Finals had lived up to the hype.
